Dr. Gao is a M.D, the director of Imaging Center of Neuroscience, Professor, chief physician, Ph.D. supervisor, deputy director of Radiological Society of Chinese Medical Association. He is the administrative deputy editor of Chinese Journal of Radiology and Vice Editor of Radiological Practice. He is the editor of many national Journals, such as Chinese Medical Journal, Chinese Computed Medical Imaging and Journal of Clinical Radiology and Foreign Medical Sciences (Clinical Radiological Fascicle). Major in Neuroradiology on CNS Tumors, Cerebral Vascular Disease, Congenital Malformation, Infectious Disease, Degenerative Disorders and Demyelinating Disease.

　　He has won more than 40 awards from the Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China, National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People’s Republic of China, Beijing Municipal Government and Chinese Medical Association since 1988. He has published 61 papers in many national and international journals as first author, and 72 papers as corresponding author. He’s in charge of many items, including National Key Technologies Research and Development Program of China during the 10th Five-year Plan, National Key Project of Scientific and Technical Supporting Programs Funded by Ministry of Science & Technology of China During the 11th Five-year Plan, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Natural Science Foundation and the Capital Medical Development and Research Foundation.
